Step 2 · Assessments¶
This step chooses which questionnaires the trial uses and when each one is asked. Every questionnaire comes from a shared library, so you assemble a trial by ticking the ones you want rather than building forms from scratch.
The layout¶
Questionnaires are listed as tickable rows, grouped into three timeline sections:
Before treatment: questionnaires asked at enrolment or baseline (eligibility screening, and standard measures such as THI, TFI, IHS).
During the trial: questionnaires tied to the treatment periods or to daily activity (start/end of each treatment period, before/after each daily session, or every day).
End of the trial: the final questionnaire.
Tick a row to include it. A ticked row is highlighted so you can see the trial’s selection at a glance.
Setting when a questionnaire is asked¶
Each row has a timing dropdown. The options are context-aware and include:
Before treatment
Start of each treatment period
End of each treatment period
After each daily session
Every day
End of trial
Changing a row’s timing moves it into the matching timeline section. You can also drag rows to reorder them or move them between sections.
Note
Some library questionnaires cannot yet be shown in the participant app. Those rows stay tickable but carry a “not in the app yet” flag, so you always know what will and will not reach participants.
Eligibility and blinding¶
Two rows behave specially:
Eligibility screening is always part of the trial and is shown locked (you cannot untick it or change its timing).
Blinding is a simple on/off tick with a fixed timing.
For how questionnaires are scored and delivered to the app, see Assessments in depth.
