Account and access management

Trials are private to the people who need them. This chapter covers who can see a trial and how to share it.

Roles recap

Owner

Full control of the trial, including launch, deletion, ownership transfer, and managing who else has access. One per trial.

Collaborator

Can view and edit the trial’s configuration, but cannot launch it, delete it, transfer ownership, or manage membership.

Auditor

Read-only access to the trial and its monitoring.

Administrator

Platform-wide access to every trial, for the people running the platform.

Sharing a trial

The owner can add colleagues as collaborators so they can help configure the trial. Collaborators see the trial in their own trials hub. Removing a collaborator revokes their access.

Transferring ownership

The owner can hand a trial to another researcher. After transfer, the new person is the owner (with full control) and the previous owner keeps access only if they are added as a collaborator. Ownership is a single pointer, there is always exactly one owner.

Visibility

  • You see the trials you own, plus any shared with you as a collaborator or auditor.

  • Administrators see every trial.

If you cannot see a trial you expect to, ask its owner to add you, or an administrator to check its ownership.
