# Building a trial: the setup wizard A new trial is built through an eight-step wizard. You can move back and forth between steps; your work is saved as you go, and the trial stays a **Draft** (not visible to participants) until you complete the final **Launch** step. The steps are: 1. **{doc}`1-identity`**: name, references, dates, and support contact. 2. **{doc}`2-assessments`**: which questionnaires the trial uses and when. 3. **{doc}`3-treatment-phases`**: the arms, their durations, and recruitment targets. 4. **{doc}`4-schema`**: how arms and phases are ordered into randomisation sequences. 5. **{doc}`5-sessions`**: the daily listening plan for each arm. 6. **{doc}`6-audio`**: the therapeutic sounds and how they are matched to participants. 7. **{doc}`7-compliance`**: consent form, participant information sheet, and references. 8. **{doc}`8-launch`**: the readiness checks and going live. :::{tip} The wizard lets you jump ahead, but each step builds on the last (arms are needed before you can order them into sequences, sounds before you can launch, and so on). Working through them in order is the smoothest path the first time. ::: ```{toctree} :maxdepth: 1 :hidden: 1-identity 2-assessments 3-treatment-phases 4-schema 5-sessions 6-audio 7-compliance 8-launch ```
